Spotted garden eel
The spotted garden eel (Heteroconger hassi) is a curious animal that lives in one of the jewel aquariums of Mysteries of the Sea.

In the new “Mysteries of the Sea” exhibition located in the Temperate habitat of Oceanogràfic.
General aspects
The spotted garden eel is also known as the architect fish, due to the cement-like substance it secretes, which prevents its burros from collapsing.
This species lives in groups on sandy bottoms. They are very timid. As you will see, they quickly hide in their holes.
