Scarlet ibis
The scarlet ibis has the scientific name Eudocimus ruber. This bright red bird can measure up to 70 centimetres.

General aspects
The plumage of these birds varies from brown when they are young, to a beautiful scarlet red when reaching adulthood. They have a very long, curved bill which serves to move sludge and search for their food.
