This small shark is characterised by having a long thin body with different white-coloured tips on its two dorsal and caudal fins.
It is named after its different white tips on its dorsal and caudal fins. Its body is dark grey-coloured and covered by many small spots. It can measure more than 2 metres, but is rarely longer than 1.6 metres.
What does it feed on?
Its feed is basically fish.
How does it reproduce?
While mating, the male uses its mouth to hold on to the female’s fins. Pregnancy lasts approximately 5 months, and 1 to 5 young are normally born per litter.
