Crocodile preserve
Located in the living lake of the aquarium, the crocodile preserve is 450m² in size, with 410m³ of water.
This habitat has a large outdoor space notable for an area prepared to facilitate the nesting of reptiles. It is a set of 2x1 metre pits, located on the central islet and on the beach area of the installation.These pits have a drainage system which ensures the viability of eggs in case of rain, before being transferred to the incubator of the aquarium to finish their development.
Slender-snouted crocodile
Crocodylus cataphractus
Also known as mecistops cataphractus, the slender-snouted crocodile is a species associated with rivers, although they usually tolerate salinity well.
