About the Oceanogràfic
The Oceanogràfic de València is much more than an aquarium: it is a centre dedicated to the marine world in Europe and an international benchmark in research, conservation and dissemination.
Located in the City of Arts and Sciences, we combine avant-garde architecture with a deep respect and homage to the seas and oceans of our planet.
More than 27,000 animals of 750 different species
Visitors have the opportunity to explore the world’s major marine ecosystems. From cold Arctic waters to warm tropical mangroves, habitats are reproduced with a fidelity that transports visitors to the heart of marine life.
Science, education and entertainment
Each visit is an invitation to reflect, act and promote greater knowledge and awareness of the marine environment.
Through the Fundación Oceanogràfic initiatives, such as species recovery, research and dissemination, we are working towards a future where the oceans continue to be a source of life.
OUR MISSIÓN
Connecting society with the marine world and promoting biodiversity conservation through study, direct action and awareness-raising.
OUR VISION
To be a driving force for social transformation and the search for solutions that contribute to the conservation of the oceans.
